Philosophically, I've always been a sucker for Taoism, the art of being in the flow. Time and again life has shown me the difference between allowing for a solution, and forcing one. Force invariably brings conflict and misery, as opposed to the serenity of flowing with the moment and responding to whatever the situation may require. The difference between misery and serenity is so often just a matter of mental awareness, and then embracing the state one truly wants to live in.
I want to live in serenity, to spread it and be part of it's natural flow. It's not about resisting or avoiding conflict either; with my awareness focused on the serenity of being, even the most violent conflict becomes a dance. This is the state of being I've developed through many years of meditation, yoga, and martial arts practice, as well as practical life experience. That said, I can't claim a constant state of serenity, but it's certainly my continued intent. This is the foundation for my business philosophy: to provide serenity and peace in the world around me, and share it with those who I work/play with each and every day.
